MIPS White Paper
Understanding measure achievement points
For PTs, OTs and SLPs participating in MIPS in 2020, careful and thoughtful selection of quality measures is critical to successful participation in the program. Since the quality category is weighted at 85 percent of the final MIPS score, maximizing performance in this category is critical to ensuring that the participating clinician’s or group’s final score exceeds the 45-point Performance Threshold and results in a positive payment adjustment in 2022.
