On January 21, Casamba began the rollout of the web-based version of Casamba Skilled. This is the first step of our multi-phase introduction to Skilled clients.
The web-based version of Casamba Skilled was designed to deliver increased efficiency, quicker navigation and a better overall user experience. It came after months of talking to customers about their needs, internal development and testing.
“We know that a portable and flexible solution is key in delivering quality care today,” said Christina Drake, Casamba’s VP of product. “With this web-based version of Skilled, we’re giving customers a technology solution for healthcare, everywhere.”
The program itself has a number of new features including a landing screen containing patient information and a “Today” button for schedule visibility with live productivity. This is in addition to capabilities users have come to expect from Casamba including documentation, treatment input, admission and demographic information and the smart clock time tracker. The web-based version of Skilled is compatible with most laptops and tablets and through most of the popular web browsers.
Feedback on the program has been extremely positive. During pilot testing, Casamba received rave reviews for Skilled’s functionality and ease of use, including:
- “This is the easiest software I’ve ever used – and believe me, I’ve used them all.”
- “We saw a 2 percent increase in productivity.”
- “[The] ability to move between patients makes it easier to get my work done.”
With this rollout, approximately 50 percent of Skilled customers now have access to the web-based version. Casamba has slated late Q1 or early Q2 for the next wave of rollouts. This will coincide with the introduction of new features specific to PDPM, time tracking and other functionality improvements.
While the program is extremely intuitive, Casamba recognizes that training is a key element to getting the most out of any technology. This is why the company has planned a number of educational programs specific to the web-based version of Skilled including Lunch & Learns, a training webinar and computer-based training videos. Casamba also offers training information through the Community portal and its customer support line.
For those who have not yet transitioned to the web-based version of Skilled, Casamba Support will be contacting you in the next few weeks to discuss your implementation schedule.
